President

Bill Tillotson is President and Founder of Independent Housing Solutions, LLC. (I.H.S). A longtime veteran in the information services industry, Bill began his career in 1991 with Trans Union.  In recognition for his contribution he was a recipient of the firm’s prestigious Golden Circle Award.   He was eventually recruited to competing company Equifax, where he prospered in an Account Executive position.

A native upstate New Yorker, Bill was confident the Rochester area would allow I.H.S to employ high quality professionals at a lower cost than other major metropolitan areas. His acute financial management abilities enabled I.H.S’ vision “to provide the greatest level of service at the least possible price”. His business model revolves around providing a consistent, high quality level of service to all insurance companies nationwide.  In 2008, the company earned a ranking on “Rochester’s Top 100”, recognizing I.H.S as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the region.

Bill lives in Victor, NY, with his wife and two children.  He enjoys playing golf, watching football, and spending time with his family.

Shari Tillotson
Vice-President of Sales

Shari Tillotson is the Vice President and Founder of Independent Housing Solutions, LLC (I.H.S).  Shari brings nearly 20 years of experience in the temporary housing industry.

Shari began her career in 1992 with Oakwood Temporary Housing in San Diego, CA.  She joined CRS Temporary Housing in 1995, working her way up quickly to Regional Manager for the Western United States.  During her 8 years with the company, CRS recognized substantial growth under her leadership and direction.

In 2003, Shari moved back to her home state of NY and founded I.H.S.  It was important to her that the quality of service provided not be sacrificed in the pursuit of growth.  She believes strongly in investing resources in the development of professional relocation teams.

Shari resides in Victor, NY, with her husband and two children.  In her leisure time, she practices yoga and plays golf.

Patty Hops
Vice-President of Operations

Patty Hops is a seasoned insurance housing professional with over 15 years of industry experience. She is truly an integral part of the development and growth of I.H.S Housing.  Prior to joining I.H.S, Patty had a career spanning 7 years with CRS Temporary Housing.  Her numerous roles included managing the operations for the west coast region, as well as the hiring and training of quality team members.

In 2003, Patty joined I.H.S and relocated from San Diego, CA.  Her role at I.H.S is managing the national operations; overseeing client relations, program development, customer service and quality control. Patty’s unwavering commitment, passion for the business and for building quality relationships with customers is the cornerstone of her success.

Patty lives in Victor, NY, with husband Rob and their three children.  She enjoys reading, going to the gym, and visiting her family in Scottsdale, AZ.
