Special Need:
The family really wants a single-family home. Their 2 children are in primary school, so they need to be as close as possible to their damaged residence.

Situation:
The insurance company has an exclusive agreement with only one housing provider, not allowing claim representatives to utilize other housing vendors. This housing company was unsuccessful in placing the family after more than 30 days of working with them. The properties offered were their corporate apartments, or were located outside of the school district.

IHS Result:
Special permission was granted for the claim representative to use IHS, based on prior experience. A customized search was done for single-family homes within 2 miles. Two days after being contacted, IHS coordinated arrangements to move the family to a comparable, single-family home 1.3 miles from their damaged residence. The children would be able to remain in the same school district.
